artcameraman is a word I coined back when I was a student at Massachusetts College of Art back in 2000. Having been a "neoclassical" photographer for most of my life the influence of college has altered my style to the point that my photographs are now more painterly and personally I like them that way. Most of my output is done digitally but I'm still using film especially Black and White is 4" X 5" format. Living in central New Hampshire gives me an excellent opportunity to photograph nature and people early in the morning before sunrise. If you shoot large format you know that shooting starts about two hours before you press the shutter button, loading the Hummer with all of the equipment, and if it's out on the lake where I live, I have to ready the boat, quietly go to my chosen location, set up the tripod even before the first composition is conceived. Some say I'm old fashion but I do what I love but soon there will be a digital back attached to the camera along with the film holders.

Photographing nature in the Great North Woods is only a small part of what interest me. New England has so much to offer, from Tractor Shows in Vermont, Country Fairs in Maine, Moose, Covered Bridges, Architecture in the Old Mill Towns and Landscapes in New Hampshire, New England has it all. I also love to photograph people. Belonging to a model agency I frequently hold Model Shoots both in my home studio and on location. There will be examples of my work and works of other photographers who accompany me on some of my photo outings which by the way are open to all photographers no matter what their level of involvement.

Living in New Hampshire you get to appreciate life. Gone is the hustle and bustle of the business world I once endured, don't get me wrong I still work but at a much slower pace.
